The Presidential Prerogative

Doug Streater will be Rotarian of the Day at this week's meeting and will introduce Wendall Williams to speak on the special Bio Science District bond election.  It should be an informative meeting and I hope everyone makes plans to attend.

A special thanks goes to all those who help stuff the bike ride goodie bags on Monday evening.  Barbara Bozon, Joann Alley, Judy Duer, John Toone, Stephanie Turnham, Richard Schneider, Bill and Mary Anne Schaffer, Vic and Johanne Gillett, Rosemary Hauser, Alicia Dunn (the wifey), Glenda Barron, Susan Connolly and young John Connolly- thanks!  We were able to assemble 300 bags in a little over an hour, that is pretty unbelievable.

By Tuesday we have nearly eighty riders signed up for Saturday's ride, which is several more than last year.  Most of the riders will register the day of the event, but we have gotten off to a fantastic start.  We could still use more volunteers for Saturday morning, so if you haven't signed up to work, we need you!

There will be a volunteer meeting after Thursday's meeting.

Last Week's Meeting

Erroll Wendland, Rosemary Hauser and Judy Duer spoke about the Rotary Foundation and Rotary international projects.  Erroll Wendland is a past president of the club, past district governors and truly a Rotary treasure.  The program was helpful and important because it showed just where all that money goes. Judy and Rosemary did an outstanding job in explaining the different grants and how we can benefit from them on the club level.

Items of Interest

The Rotary Club of Temple encourages its members to donate to the RI Foundation above and beyond the regular $25 quarterly contribution.  The club will match your contribution between April 15 and May 15 on a dollar-for-dollar basis up to $300.  Give your check either to Danny or David.
