The Presidential Prerogative
The Rotary Club of Temple had a great showing at the District Conference this past weekend. The conference, held at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort near Bastrop had many informative meetings, plus plenty of time for rest and relaxation. The weekend ended on a very positive note when past president Steve Rublee was inducted into the District 5870 Roll of Fame. It was great to see Laura and Steve and see him recognized for his great contributions to Rotary.
The Wendlands were in attendence, as well as Barbara and Brianna Bozon, the Valle family and Judy Duer. We had a great time. Tommy and I settled the majority of the world's problems on Saturday afternoon...in the way we do best. We have a great club with a great history and we have a lot to be proud of!

The president also apologizes for the little snafu regarding the program last week. I'm sorry we turned a portion of the meeting into "open mike night." Thanks for your patience.
New Member Proposal
Jack Jones has proposed Mark Smith for membership. Mark is vice-president of Educational Services at Temple College. His classification would be "Community College Administration." This is the second reading.
