ROTD Mary Irving Tells us “the rest of the story” on Temple, Texas “Temple, the Good, the Bad and the Ugly” proved to be a very funny alternate history of Temple. Mary shared such stories as the sport “ratting”, where men and boys (she’s convinced women were too smart to participate in this sport!) caught rats in live traps, brought these rats and their dogs (yes, rats have their
own dogs) to the downtown city square, let all the rats loose, and urged their dogs to catch as many rats as possible. |
